EPC Project for the Alumina Storage and Transportation System at an Electrolytic Aluminum Plant
The storage and transportation system comprises an ultra-concentrated-phase transporting system for fluorinated alumina, an overhead crane feeding system, and a tank-car discharging system. The ultra-concentrated-phase conveying technology employed is an advanced method for handling powdered materials. It leverages the pressure gradient generated by frictional resistance along the pipeline to accomplish material transport without requiring additional energy input. As a result, in addition to inheriting the advantages of inclined chute conveyance, this technology also overcomes the drawback of increased civil engineering costs associated with the inclined arrangement typical of conventional chute systems. Since the air velocity and pressure required to maintain fluidization of the alumina bed are very low, this technology boasts low energy consumption. Moreover, the system features a simple structure, moderate manufacturing costs, and no mechanical moving parts at all, ensuring reliable operation and significantly reducing daily maintenance workload and expenses.
