According to information from the Statistics and Information Department of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, from January to November, 12,326 large-scale nonferrous metal enterprises achieved a total profit of 448.62 billion yuan, an increase of 15.9% year-on-year (calculated on a comparable basis; the same applies below). The growth rate narrowed by 2.7 percentage points compared to the period from January to October. Among them, independent mining enterprises recorded profits of 115.62 billion yuan, up 32.3%; and nonferrous metal smelting and rolling processing enterprises achieved total profits of 333 billion yuan, up 11.1%. From January to November, 12,326 large-scale nonferrous metal enterprises generated total operating revenue of 9,189.21 billion yuan, an increase of 13.8% year-on-year. Specifically, nonferrous metal mining and beneficiation enterprises reported operating revenue of 380.68 billion yuan, up 12.7%; while nonferrous metal smelting and rolling processing enterprises achieved operating revenue of 8,808.54 billion yuan, up 13.8%. From January to November, the revenue profitability ratio of the 12,326 large-scale nonferrous metal enterprises was 4.88%, an increase of 0.09 percentage points over the same period last year.

According to the Information and Statistics Department of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, the nonferrous metals industry as a whole maintained reasonable growth, and fixed-asset investment continued to show steady growth momentum. In November, the value-added of the nonferrous metals industry above designated size increased by 5.0% year-on-year in real terms (all growth rates of value-added are real growth rates after剔除price factors; the same applies hereinafter). From January to November, the value-added of the nonferrous metals industry above designated size rose by 7.1% year-on-year in real terms—a growth rate that was 0.3 percentage points lower than from January to October but 1.1 percentage points higher than the growth rate of value-added for industries above designated size as a whole.
