Carbon Calcination Furnace EPC Project
During the heating process in the roasting furnace, a carbon combustion device and its control system are used to regulate both the fuel supply and the furnace temperature. The anode material in the roasting chamber is indirectly heated according to the prescribed roasting temperature profile. Under specific conditions, the carbon products are heated, causing the binder—specifically the pitch used in pre-baked anode production—to undergo decomposition, polymerization, and coking reactions. This results in the formation of a new coke network among the existing coke particles and coke fines, thereby inducing a series of physical and chemical changes in the anode product and transforming it into a cohesive, engineered structure with enhanced mechanical strength and desirable physical properties—a high-quality pre-baked anode.
