Production and Operational Performance of Nonferrous Metals in Henan Province, January–March

In the first quarter, our province produced 1.092 million tonnes of ten major nonferrous metals, up 5.16% year on year. Copper output reached 163,000 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 17.75%, ranking eighth nationwide. Electrolytic aluminum production totaled 480,000 tonnes, up 12.95% year on year, placing the province seventh nationally. Zinc output stood at 97,000 tonnes, up 3.63% year on year, with an eighth-place national ranking. Lead production amounted to 343,000 tonnes, down 6.63% year on year, ranking third nationwide. Molybdenum concentrate (expressed as 45% molybdenum) reached 23,000 tonnes, up 9.95% year on year. Nickel production was 27.2 tonnes, down 76.55% year on year, while antimony output totaled 1,622 tonnes, up 37.77% year on year.
In the first quarter, our province’s alumina output reached 2.56 million tonnes, down 7.62% year on year, ranking fourth nationwide.
In the first quarter, our province produced 2.428 million tonnes of aluminum products, up 9.33% year on year, ranking second nationwide. Aluminum profiles accounted for 24,000 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 8.40%. Copper product output reached 222,000 tonnes, up 19.36% year on year, placing the province sixth nationally.
