Henan Province has released 45 advanced green and low-carbon technologies.

On July 12, Henan Province hosted an event to promote cutting-edge green and low-carbon technologies in Zhengzhou. With the theme “Green and Low-Carbon: Energy Efficiency First,” the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment jointly showcased and promoted 45 advanced green and low-carbon technologies.
The key technologies for ultra-low emissions from flue gases of alumina gas-phase suspension roasting furnaces developed by Henan KEDANEU International Engineering Co.,Ltd., the in-situ soil-based ecological remediation technology for red mud stockpiles, the classified resource utilization technology for aluminum electrolysis overhaul slag, the key technology for the full-volume resource recovery of secondary aluminum dross, the quality-improvement and energy-saving technology for carbon baking furnaces used in aluminum production, and the technology for enhancing the oxidation resistance of carbon anodes used in aluminum production, as well as the clean comprehensive utilization technology for hazardous aluminum dross developed by Luoyang Tianrui Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., the multi-pollutant synergistic control technology for flue gases from lead–zinc smelting developed by Henan Yuguang Gold & Lead Group Co., Ltd., and the direct treatment technology for lead anode slime using pure-oxygen side-blown self-heating bath smelting developed by Henan Jinli Gold & Lead Group Co., Ltd., were all included in this catalog.
“This initiative is an important measure for our province to ground itself in the new stage of development, advance high-quality growth, and accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development,” said a responsible official from the Provincial Department of Science and Technology. “The 14th Five-Year Plan period represents a critical window for China to reach peak carbon emissions, and achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality hinges on scientific and technological innovation.”
