Production and Operational Performance of the Nonferrous Metals Industry in Henan Province, January–July

From January to July, Henan’s output of ten major nonferrous metals totaled 2.6078 million tonnes, up 5.12% year on year. Among these, copper and aluminum production increased year on year, while lead and zinc production declined compared with the same period last year.
From January to July, electrolytic aluminum production reached 1.119 million tonnes, up 8.18% year on year, ranking seventh nationwide; alumina output totaled 6.199 million tonnes, down 3.55% year on year, placing fourth nationally; and aluminum profile production amounted to 6.131 million tonnes, up 6.43% year on year, ranking second across the country.
From January to July, Henan’s copper output totaled 392,000 tonnes, up 20.58% year on year, ranking seventh nationwide; during the same period, the province’s copper‑product output reached 555,000 tonnes, an increase of 8.90% year on year, placing it sixth nationally.
From January to July, Henan’s lead production totaled 846,000 tonnes, down 1.60% year on year, ranking second nationwide; zinc production reached 229,000 tonnes, a decrease of 3.88% compared with the same period last year, placing the province eighth in the country.
