Production and Operational Performance of the Nonferrous Metals Industry in Henan Province, January–September

From January to September, Henan’s output of ten major nonferrous metals totaled 3.421 million tonnes, up 6.65% year on year. Among them, production of copper, aluminum, and lead—as well as value-added copper and aluminum products—increased year on year, while zinc output declined compared with the same period last year.
From January to September, electrolytic aluminum production reached 1.468 million tonnes, up 11.43% year on year, ranking seventh nationwide; alumina output totaled 7.924 million tonnes, down 2.03% year on year, placing fourth nationally; and aluminum profile production amounted to 8.028 million tonnes, up 7.33% year on year, ranking second across the country.
From January to September, Henan’s copper output reached 501,000 tonnes, up 17.87% year on year, ranking seventh nationwide; during the same period, the province’s copper‑product output totaled 722,000 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 7.43%, placing it sixth nationally.
From January to September, Henan’s lead production reached 1.125 million tonnes, up 0.37% year on year, ranking second nationwide.
From January to September, Henan’s zinc output reached 299,000 tonnes, down 2.81% year on year, ranking eighth nationwide.
