Production of Nonferrous Metals in Henan Province, January–December 2022

From January to December, Henan’s output of ten nonferrous metals totaled 4.645 million tonnes, up 6.59% year on year, ranking fifth nationwide. Among these, production of copper, aluminum, and lead—as well as value-added copper and aluminum products—increased year on year, while zinc output declined slightly compared with the same period last year.
From January to December, electrolytic aluminum production reached 1.994 million tonnes, up 10.72% year on year, ranking seventh nationwide; alumina output totaled 10.189 million tonnes, down 1.21% year on year, placing fourth nationally; and aluminum profile production amounted to 10.942 million tonnes, up 2.56% year on year, ranking second across the country.
From January to December, copper production totaled 666,000 tonnes, up 11.19% year on year, ranking seventh nationwide; copper‑product output reached 994,000 tonnes, a 3.46% increase over the same period, placing it sixth nationally.
From January to December, lead production totaled 1.548 million tonnes, up 2.44% year on year, ranking second nationwide; zinc production reached 401,000 tonnes, down 1.88% year on year, placing eighth nationally.
From January to December, the molybdenum concentrate output, expressed in terms of 45% molybdenum content, totaled 93,000 tonnes, up 4.00% year on year.
