From January to April, the national output of ten major nonferrous metals increased by 7.7% year on year.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in April, the output of ten major nonferrous metals reached 6.04 million tonnes, up 6.1% year on year. From January to April, the cumulative output of these metals totaled 24.133 million tonnes, an increase of 7.7% compared with the same period last year.
Among them: From January to April, primary aluminum (electrolytic aluminum) production totaled 13.32 million tonnes, up 3.9% year on year; refined copper (electrolytic copper) output reached 4.111 million tonnes, an increase of 12.9% year on year; lead production stood at 2.657 million tonnes, up 8.7% year on year; zinc production amounted to 2.322 million tonnes, up 8.2% year on year; copper‑product output was 6.870 million tonnes, up 6.9% year on year; and aluminum‑product output reached 19.399 million tonnes, up 3.7% year on year. In April, alumina production was 6.905 million tonnes, down 0.6% year on year, while cumulative output for January–April totaled 26.516 million tonnes, up 4.0% year on year.
