National Nonferrous Metals Production from January to March 2023

From January to March 2023, the national output of ten major nonferrous metals reached 6.28 million tonnes, up 6.9% year on year. For the first quarter, the total output of these ten nonferrous metals amounted to 18.26 million tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 9.0%.
In the first three months of the year, primary aluminum (electrolytic aluminum) production totaled 10.102 million tonnes, up 5.9% year on year; alumina output reached 19.784 million tonnes, a 6.3% increase compared with the same period last year; refined copper (electrolytic copper) amounted to 2.990 million tonnes, up 10.4%; lead production stood at 2.165 million tonnes, up 16.2%; and zinc production was 1.748 million tonnes, up 5.4%.
In the first three months, copper product output reached 5.205 million tonnes, up 7.8% year on year; aluminum product output totaled 14.323 million tonnes, an increase of 2.9% compared with the same period last year.
