Oriental Hope Plans to Build a 3.6-Million-Ton Alumina Project in Fugu

On October 11, the Fugu County Party Committee and County Government held a signing ceremony for investment attraction projects with Oriental Hope Group. Meng Changjun, General Manager of Investment at Oriental Hope Group, stated that the company will take this signing ceremony as an opportunity to adhere to the principles of “circular economy, energy conservation and emission reduction, and the development of a circular-economy industrial chain.” Leveraging Fugu’s advantageous endowment of resources, geographic location, and environmental conditions, as well as the region’s unique resource strengths—including bauxite, coal, limestone, and electricity—in Fugu, Shenmu, and Yulin—the company aims to establish a circular-economy and industrial-cluster base characterized by rational layout, economies of scale, advanced technology, resource efficiency, and enhanced competitiveness. Oriental Hope will actively participate in Fugu County’s economic development and usher in a new era of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. The company plans to invest in Phase I of the Fugu project to build facilities with an annual capacity of 3.6 million tonnes of alumina, 2 million tonnes of lime, and 60 tonnes of metallic gallium, among other products.
