Operating Performance of the Nonferrous Metals Industry from January to July

In July, China’s output of ten major nonferrous metals totaled 4.472 million tonnes, unchanged from the same period last year. Specifically, copper production reached 733,000 tonnes, up 1.5% year on year; electrolytic aluminum output was 2.686 million tonnes, down 0.3% year on year; lead production stood at 432,000 tonnes, up 5.6% year on year; and zinc production amounted to 476,000 tonnes, down 6.3% year on year. Alumina output reached 6.028 million tonnes, an increase of 9.3%. Aluminum fabricated products output totaled 5.584 million tonnes, up 17.4% year on year. Copper fabricated products output reached 1.773 million tonnes, up 2.0% year on year.
