Zhongfu Industrial plans to shut down Linfeng Aluminum & Electricity and transfer 250,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum production capacity.

On the evening of December 12, Zhongfu Industrial announced that, due to sustained increases in coal prices and production restrictions during the heating season, its subsidiary, Linfeng Aluminum & Electricity, is facing significant operational and production pressures. The company has decided to suspend all operations at Linfeng Aluminum & Electricity and plans to relocate its production capacity to regions with cost advantages. Currently, Linfeng Aluminum & Electricity has an electrolytic aluminum production capacity of 250,000 tons per year and is listed as a company that meets the industry’s regulatory standards. The plant obtains its electricity through direct supply from thermal power generation. In recent years, despite ongoing efforts to conserve energy, reduce consumption, and implement lean management practices, the continued rise in coal prices and the production curtailments imposed during the heating season have placed substantial pressure on its operations.
