From January to September, the national output of ten major nonferrous metals increased by 6.8% year on year.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in September, the output of ten major nonferrous metals reached 6.42 million tonnes, up 7.3% year on year. From January to September, cumulative production totaled 55.02 million tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. Specifically, primary aluminum (electrolytic aluminum) output in September was 3.58 million tonnes, up 5.3% year on year, while cumulative electrolytic aluminum production from January to September stood at 30.81 million tonnes, a year-on-year rise of 3.3%.
In September, refined copper (electrolytic copper) production totaled 1.136 million tonnes, up 14.5% year on year; from January to September, cumulative output reached 9.549 million tonnes, a 13.4% increase compared with the same period last year.
In September, lead production totaled 687,000 tonnes, up 13% year on year; from January to September, cumulative output reached 5.761 million tonnes, a 13.5% increase compared with the same period last year.
In September, zinc production totaled 569,000 tonnes, down 0.5% year on year; from January to September, cumulative output reached 5.133 million tonnes, up 5.2% year on year.
In September, copper production totaled 2.014 million tonnes, up 2.4% year on year; from January to September, cumulative output reached 16.527 million tonnes, a 6.1% increase compared with the same period last year.
In September, aluminum production totaled 5.55 million tonnes, up 5.7% year on year; from January to September, cumulative output reached 46.54 million tonnes, a 5.2% increase compared with the same period last year.
In September, alumina production totaled 7.072 million tonnes, up 1.6% year on year; from January to September, cumulative output reached 61.706 million tonnes, also up 1.6% year on year.
