Wanji Holdings has completed the first semi‑dry desulfurization system in Henan Province’s electrolytic aluminum industry.

Recently, the #2 flue-gas purification system of the electrolytic aluminum production line at the No. 1 Plant of Henan Wanjie Aluminum Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Wanjie Holding Group Co., Ltd., successfully completed a trial run with material processing, with emissions of sulfur dioxide, particulate matter, and fluorides all meeting ultra‑low emission standards. This marks the first semi‑dry desulfurization system in Henan Province’s electrolytic aluminum industry, representing Wanjie Holding Group’s breakthrough from zero to compliance with ultra‑low emissions in this sector. Not only does it set a new industry benchmark, but it will also significantly reduce environmental constraints on the company, thereby bolstering its long-term growth momentum.
Li Yuemin, Party Secretary and Chairman of Wanji Holding Group, stated that in recent years, prior to undertaking environmental upgrades for its electrolytic aluminum operations, the Group has already invested a cumulative total of RMB 1.5 billion, completing more than ten major environmental‑protection projects and emission‑standard‑upgrading initiatives. Notably, it carried out a comprehensive overhaul of its carbon‑anode flue‑gas purification system, achieving ultra‑low emissions across the board and setting a national benchmark as the earliest‑initiated, fastest‑implemented, and most effective ultra‑low‑emission environmental‑protection project in the carbon industry.
